Rob speaks out for the first time about the intense media coverage his personal life has gotten since Kristen Stewart cheated on him in a new interview! Read on for the details.

Robert Pattinson has remained charmingly tight-lipped about his personal life during his recent Cosmopolis press tour. While he still hasn’t directly acknowledged Kristen Stewart‘s affair, he has called out the intense media coverage of it in a new interview.

Speaking to the Los Angeles Times, Rob, 26, says, “Media culture is a monstrous thing,” adding, “You can’t win. The annoying thing is that you can’t attack them, but you can’t defend yourself. The best thing you could possibly do is punch a paparazzi and give them their big payday.”

It’s clear that Rob doesn’t like the media scrutiny that comes along with being a celebrity.

Do you agree with Rob, HollywoodLifers?

poor rob. :( he obviousley does not like people in to this and just wants peole to focus on his movie and not his personal life. hopefully something more big will come up and not focus on him and kristen so much. or maybe they will just stop cause they wont give them a direct answer. so i hope they will stop it may even help him decide about…kristen.

my question is —–is there any way to find a ballance when it comes to the media?.i mean they make and break these people too.is the media that sky -ricketed robsten to the roof and some people may also blame them for what is happening now.they should have let them grow gradually, but i also think that they are trying to go with the flow of the fans ,so ido not blame them totally.but, they should have known better.i guess this is a hard one to crack because the media will also tell you ,they are doing their job.i think the issue of responsibility has to be called in here for all sides because all is spiraling.is good for no one.

I love him but the media comes with fame and fortune and people want to know what he’s doing. The media will work for and against him, keeping his name in the spotlight which is good for him and yes there is a downside but it won’t kill him, he’ll need to learn to cope and if the media goes to far and prints things that aren’t true he’ll always have legal recourse.

Thing is that he wouldn’t have known that she was cheating if it wasn’t for the media, so maybe he owes them thanks for that. Personally, I would rather know so that I could make decisions and get on with my life and Liberty will probably benefit when she files for divorce, which I would do.

Although I don’t support the media stalking her to the place where she met the director. I’m not sure why this guy can’t be charged to stalking since he admitted he followed her and waited to see what she was up to.

journalism was always called “the fourth estate” can lift the top to a beggar and collapse to the floor to a king, in seconds, are manipulated by the media, unfortunately these guys met in a hard and cruel world wherein the means delight, hopefully all this will be strengthened.
