Plus, Ryan discusses the difficulty of talking & moving at the same time. Acting is hard.
I love watching actors discuss the process of honing their craft, so imagine my excitement when Access Hollywood chatted up Ryan Lochte on the set of his big 90210 episode, airing Oct. 29 on The CW. While taking off his shirt is second nature to the Olympian at this point, Ryan did admit there were some challenges that came along with his new role: “Memorizing lines … and trying to, like, say them and still, like, do movement and all that. That was hard.”
Access Hollywood also filmed part of Ryan’s scene, in which he — as himself — comes across Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord) and Max (Josh Zuckerman) on a nature walk.
“Don’t worry,” he tells the (potentially married) couple. “The ropes course is a piece of cake.”
OK, now here’s where it gets fun. In response to Naomi calling the ropes course “scary,” Ryan responds, “Jeah, seriously. I would love to race Phelps on that.”
That’s right, people. He says “jeah.”

Cast your eyes on the video below as Ryan explains to the flustered Access Hollywood reporter (she wants to wham dam that bixch so bad but Ryan’s eyes are telling her only if it comes with lots of money and a chance of now appearing on the Bachelor.). Who needs a swimming career when you have the chance to become a non charismatic pin up boy for premium dollar?
