Taylor Swift debuted her new single ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’ last night during a live chat on YouTube. Taylor’s new anti-love song is about one particular ex-boyfriend — but who could it be?

Let the speculation begin! Taylor Swift loves to name names in her songs, but her latest single is a bit trickier — could it be about John Mayer? Chord Overstreet? Jake Gyllenhall? What do YOU think?

“When I was coming up with the name for this album, it was crazy because it was really simple. I wrote a song called ‘Red’ and thinking about what that means to me and all the different emotions that are written about on this album, they are all pretty much about the tumultuous, crazy, insane, semi-toxic relationships that I’ve experienced in the last two years and all those emotions spanning from intense love to intense frustration, jealous, confusion, all of that, in my mind, all those emotions are red. There is nothing beige about any of those feelings,” Taylor explained.

Before playing the track, Taylor joked, “This is like a really, really romantic song. It’s like really touching and sensitive and it’s a really romantic song to my lovely ex-boyfriend. It’s called ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.’ I hope you like it.”

Taylor has been in high-profile romances with John Mayer, Chord Overstreet, Jake Gyllenhall and Joe Jonas in the last few years and had lesser-known flings with Cory Monteith, Mark Foster of Foster The People and Will Anderson, the lead singer in the band Parachute.

In the past, “Dear John” has trashed John Mayer, “Forever and Always” explained her relationship with Joe Jonas, while “Back To December” was an apology for Taylor Lautner.

I remember when we broke up
The first time
Saying this is it, I’ve had enough
It’s like, we haven’t seen each in a month
When you said you needed space
What?

Then you come around again and say
Baby, I miss you and I swear I’m gonna change
Trust me
Remember how that lasted for a day?
I say I hate you, we break up
You call me, I love you

Ooh, we called it off again last night
But ooh, this time I’m telling you, I’m telling you

We are never ever ever getting back together
We are never ever ever getting back together
You go talk to your friends, talk to my friends, talk to me
But we are never ever ever ever getting back together

Like, ever.

I’m really gonna miss you picking fights
And me falling for it, screaming that I’m right
And you, hide away and find your peace of mind
With some indie record that’s much cooler than mine

Ooh, you called me up again tonight
But ooh, this time I’m telling you, I’m telling you

We are never ever ever getting back together
We are never ever ever getting back together
You go talk to your friends, talk to my friends, talk to me
But we are never ever ever ever getting back together

I used to think that we were forever ever
And I used to say “Never say never”

So he calls me up and he’s like
“I still love you” and I’m like… I’m just…
I mean, this is exhausting, you know?
We’re never getting back together
Like ever
No

We are never ever ever getting back together
We are never ever ever getting back together
You go talk to your friends, talk to my friends, talk to me
But we are never ever ever ever getting back together

You go talk to your friends, talk to my friends, talk to me
But we are never ever ever ever getting back together

Well I would highly doubt it was about Chord or Cory because they didnt date long enough or serious enough for something like this and I doubt it would be about Joe, she already wrote about him and they buried the hatchet, and she seems over Taylor and the lyrics seem to be about someone either younger or less mature than Jake, but I would say either Jake or John

People Jake has never put out an indie album! Why is this so confusing for you? Her lyrics are “And you, hide away and find your peace of mind With some indie record that’s much cooler than mine”…..Jake isn’t a singer. John Mayer is though :))
