New York City was rocked on August 13 by Robert Pattinson‘s first public appearances since Kristen Stewart was caught being unfaithful. Even after all the buildup, Rob thinks that both his Daily Show interview and Cosmopolis red carpet appearance went VERY smoothly!
Rob, 26, was thrilled with both the premiere and his TV segment, a source close to him tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
“Rob thought it was going to go a lot worse than originally expected, both on the red carpet and with Jon Stewart,” our source said. “He felt that Jon was the ‘epitome of class’ in how he dealt with the interview, and everything else on the red carpet was very controlled to his liking. He is still very anxious for his other interviews, but believes the hard part is done — that was getting out there yesterday for the first time to face the crowds and media. He is aware that he will probably be asked the K-Stew question on Good Morning America point blank, and he is ready to take the high road when that happens. He is avoiding as much as possible to make his statements about the subject publicly because he doesn’t want to fall in the same trap Kristen fell into when she released her statement. He is adamant on keeping things that are important with the situation to himself.”

rob did a great job last night, trying to avoid those stupid questions! it’s none of our business! he is there for his movie that’s it!
and Hollywood lies, it’s not because you write EXCLUSIVELY in big letters that it makes it more credible !
people really need to learn that what is said here or in other tabloids, it’s not true, no sources are speaking…they know nothing about it, so they try every story, every speculation..to make some dirty money
