Robert Pattinson Asks ‘Twilight’ Fans To Buy 8 ‘Cosmopolis’ Tickets Each

In his first public appearance since the K-Stew cheating scandal, Rob appeared happy, adorable and funny! The jokester told Jon Stewart that he wants his new movie ‘Cosmopolis’ to beat ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ at the box office!

It was great to see a lighthearted Robert Pattinson after so many reports of him being furious and devastated over the news of Kristen Stewart cheating. The Daily Show was the perfect outlet to loosen Rob up and get him to joke around!

As Jon Stewart‘s show started, a huge bar at the bottom of the screen read, “DEMOCALYPSE 2012 – Welcome Twilight fans, this is a topical comedy show mostly dealing with politics and the media EDITION.”

Jon added, “I’m sure many of you are watching this show for the first time!”

During Rob’s interview, he pleaded for the fans to support his new movie Cosmopolis!

“If any Twilight fans are tuning in, I genuinely want to make Cosmopolis have a higher opening weekend than The Dark Knight but the problem is, it’s only being released in six cinemas so it’s going to be a challenge! Just buy like, eight tickets!”

I think the biggest problem right now is that most fans don’t know how to feel right now. Some act out in anger, others try to help and others are just confused. We all need to be mindful of eachother and remember we’re all hurting in our own ways. I think there is more to this mess than we know. Maybe if we’re all patient we’ll get some answers. That is what we can all agree we need the most. Blessings to all even rob and Kristen.

Funny how some people say forgive Kristen for she is just human, but they seem to forget Rob is just as human too and needs to process the hurt that she caused.
It might do them good to grow separately a little bit and have a better perspective on things.

in interviews he thanked his fans, he always thanks his fans even the media say he could not do better then or about kristen, you are not a fan of Rob, but the cheater, he lost weight, he looks sad and you still want to pay for it quelquze thing he did not do? your life and let go quiet now!

We are nothing but walking dollar signs to everybody in Hollywood even Rob. I love teh daily show and did see the interview. Rob could have said anything to his fans that have literally been crying for him but instead took the opportunity to ask them to buy tickets. I have no faith in anything Hollywood anymore. Just go see movies you wnat to see and don’t let yourselves become attached to any of the actors or actresses in them. I’m sticking to superhero movies from now on.

Geez, lighten up. He meant the 8-ticket thing as a joke! He even laughed about it since it’s only shown in 6 theaters. You do realize that The Daily Show is a talk show that makes fun of issues, hosted by a comedian, aired on Comedy Channel, right?

I think the interview went well. Jon was hysterical as usual. Rob and Kristen will always be very special to me because of Twilight and that will never change. I can’t help but think there is something so off about this whole situation. Jon opened up the floor to Rob to be able to say literally anything to his fans and what does he say? By movie tickets? How Hollywood of him (I’m not saying that to be mean). He knows lots of his have literally shed tears for him and he can’t say anything but buy tickets. Maybe he really couldn’t say anything else for fear of choking up. I don’t know. If it was all staged he could have ended the charade last night. It hrts me to think he and Kristen could both be hurting right now. I just wish he could have said anything but buy movie tickets. It was good to see him again though.

I know it must be hard for you dawn you were going on every article day and night posting this scandal was nothing more than a prank for rob and Kristen’s wedding and they would reveal it on the Jon Stewart show cause it’s on comedy central. You must be just devastated.

That’s just what I thought. Nobody really knows anything about any of this. I was basing what i said on what Ted Casablanca said and trying to give some fans a little hope. I happen to be a very happily married woman with two amazing little boys and I work in corporate America. At the end of the day the only things that should matter to any of us are who we have right in front of us to love not movie stars we don’t know. While it’s fun to chase rumors, it’s all just made up movie magic in the end. It’s always fun and sometimes helpful to have more than one point of view situations. Trust me I’m fine and more concerned right now with getting my kids ready to go back to school. It’s the lonely, single and younger fans I get worried about.

“Poor Rob” is milking it? Really?! So for him, it’s a case of damned if you do and damned if you don’t. If he sulks and hides, people will say what a wuzz, man up. If he shows up for work, people say he’s milking it. He can never win! So to Rob, just keep doing what you’re doing coz whatever you do you cannot and will not ever please everybody anyway.

@poor rob. I feel bad for you. You obviously have to bash other people to help with your fragile low self esteem. His movie is a very small production, and he has to eat, so of course he’s gonna ask fans to buy tickets. They’re his fans, that’s what they’re supposed to do!

Bravo: What do you figure out? Kristen and you are often seen on concerts, you have to buy the tickets for it…
Rob: When I take her to a concert it’s a gift

Bravo: What’s a real date for you?
Rob: When we can talk during the date. Maybe a dinner, as every couple enjoys it.

Bravo: But the two of you aren’t undisturbed, at least not in a restaurant.
Rob: You’re right. Where I show up the chaos begins. It could be better to do nothing special. Sometimes it is enough to stay at home and don’t answer a call and don’t turn on the PC. Just enjoy the moment, that’s great.

Bravo: Where does a relationship start for you – with the first kiss or with the third date?
Rob: That’s what the Americans are used to think: You had three dates and you’re a couple! I never understood this rule. Someone date so many different people and if you made it three times you’re a couple with him/her. In the UK, where I come from, you would be called a b*tch. I never did this and also don’t like it. To date a couple of girls, it’s weird.

Bravo: And really mean!
Rob: Yes, I totally agree. You’ve to decide for one person, to concentrate on her and wait if it works.

Bravo: So, when is it a relationship for you?
Rob: When you feel IT. If IT works. If it isn’t like that and you can’t decide if you’re gonna to be a couple or not, that’s the sign that it won’t work.

Bravo: What do you think about loyalty. Is it already too much to think about another person?
Rob: Kind of, yes. It’s kind of cheating someone in fantasy. But on the other hand we are all just humans and change all long. In the beginning it’s love and it’s ending up with hate, this happens every day, everywhere. Nevertheless, I haven’t ever understood what’s up with cheating someone. When I’d like to have a new mate I have to split up with the other one before, or?

Bravo: Nevertheless, many cheating, why?
Rob: I think, those who are cheating someone are afraid of splitting up. Or maybe it’s the jealousy of happy couples. Two persons are stuck in a unhappy relationship, getting envy about the luck others have and are looking for it with other persons.

Bravo: This means love is changing with the time?
Rob: There are so many different ways of love. You can love the person because of she is what she is or because you love special characteristics on her. You can also love the surroundings you met. As soon as anything changes the feelings may even not be the same. They pale time to time.

Bravo: What are you doing that this doesn’t happen?
Rob: I don’t know. Imagine, you are a couple with someone for 30 years. This mate is your life and all is so familiar. But suddenly you are bored. It’s very easy to say it’s the other ones fault. If you’re bored from the other, that’s the end.

Bravo: So, no chance the boredom! How important is it to work on problems?
Rob: Crisis are discussed to death very often. To bring the same problem up over and over again is wrong. To talk from my experiences, problems are often dissolved by itself.

Bravo: The love is quite easy for you. On pictures the two of you seem so lucky. How important is it to have fun in a relationship?
Rob: What’s the sense of love if it isn’t fun? Everyone is different. I also know people who have a very intense relationship but act cramped. That’s nothing for me.

Bravo: To summarize: No relationship without humor?
Rob: Absolutely! It’s my duty to make the life of the other person more beautiful and funnier. When both can do this, it’s perfect. It’s my decision who I want to be together with. That’s why my life should be more beautiful with her than without her.

Of course the tv show was edited….they all are. Rob looked a bit thinner than usual, but that boy is still hot as hell. I wish him and Kristen luck. They both are really nice people, both have made some major mistakes…but thats what growing up is all about. Thankfully they each (yes, Kristen does have close friends) have family and friends that are helping them through this.

Not every interview is edited…they might be speed up a couple of minutes ahead when its live from the TV so can blurt out curse words or fix mistakes but not all are edited..jimmy kimmel isnt edited…ellen is. Theres a difference. But yes ur right he looked great :)

Im curious..who believes this? : people all over twitter who are comming back from being in the audience for cosmopolis said the TV version was edited. A reporter in the audience said he accidently slipped out that he had broken up with her then tried to make a joke out of it but it was too late, everyone could see he was telling the truth..idk if i believe it bc they didnt mention what he said. Lol.

On the other hand that movie was GOOD. Im seeing it again tomorrow and he killed that interview & i wish that dude the best of luck hes so amazing.

Rob just said “it is” after the “end of the world” comment and then said he didn’t mean it that way. So no, no break up confirmation there. Rob wouldn’t “accidentally” say it was over if that was the truth. He’s been preparing. All in all, we can’t come to any conclusions just yet. Will wait for his MTV First on Thursday, although I doubt Josh will venture into that scary place.

why is that if not broken ?

Why would Rob make any confirmation about the break up ?
when he never make confirmation about first becoming lover to Kristen
and he never did make any during relationship with Stewart
