HollywoodLife.com was in the audience at Jon Stewart’s ‘The Daily Show’ for Rob’s first public interview since Kristen Stewart cheated on him, where he broke his silence on the split! Read on for all the details!
Robert Pattinson has finally broken his silence, having taped an interview on The Daily Show with host Jon Stewart on August 13, his first public appearance since he was cheated on by Kristen Stewart. HollywoodLife.com was in the audience as Jon attempted to get Rob to open up about the ordeal.
Right when Rob came out, Jon pulled out a pint of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream and offered it to him, which was both sweet and hilarious. Rob joked that he didn’t want to eat it because he might “bust out of his Spanx.”
Rob, 26, seemed nervous, but kept his composure throughout the interview. He, of course, looked great in a grey suit.
When Jon spoke about the break-up, he said, “When you’re young, it feels like the world is ending. This is the first time the world has reacted the same way.” In reply to the “world is ending” comment, Rob laughed and said, “It is.” The audience let out a big “aww” at that, which prompted Rob to laugh again and clarify that he was making a joke.
