Some Manhattan moms spend more than $10,000 on their kids’ clothes each season — and it’s a trend that keeps growing! Find out more of the outrageous details.

New York City is one of the fashion capitols of the world, and some Manhattan moms take that title very seriously. For these fashion-forward NYC mothers, spending top dollar on their kids’ wardrobes is a top priority.

Juliet Sandler is just three years old, and she already rocks the latest designer outfits, including $650 Lanvin dresses and $400 shoes, according to the Daily Mail.

Her mom, Dara Sandler, said it’s important to keep her daughter looking polished and put together at all times, because her daughter is a reflection of her.

“I dress my daughter exactly the way I dress myself,” the 33-year-old mom said, who admitted to spending $10,000 on her summer wardrobe, and will shell out a few more grand for fall.

Sasha Charnin Morrison, fashion director at Us Weekly, also agreed. Although she acknowledged that some of her kids’ clothes are a bit overpriced, she said it’s important.

“They’re a walking billboard of you. They’re a reflection of who you are, so if you are someone highly stylized, then you want to make sure your kids are the best-dressed kids out there,” she said.

Of course celebrity kids have been rocking designer clothes for years, setting the standard for more and more wealthy moms to follow suit. Suri Cruise has one of the most enviable tot wardrobes, with some designer pieces worth thousands.

However, critics think the trend promotes elitism and a culture of greed. Not to mention frivolous spending.
