Poor Anderson. His longtime boyfriend was caught making out with a mystery man in the park on Saturday August 11. Read on for all the details.
Anderson Cooper’s boyfriend Ben Maisani just pulled a Kristen Stewart and was caught kissing another man — so sad.
Even worse, Anderson and Ben were reported to be getting married in New York City later this summer — just before Labor Day, according to a report by The National Enquirer.
While Anderson just recently came out of the closet announcing, “I’m gay, always have been,” the talk show host has been dating Ben for a number of years under the radar.
Ben and the mystery man passionately kissed one another, while holding hands, in a New York City park on Saturday August 11.
This is so sad.

Should Anderson Cooper dump Ben Mainsani or not? That is the question, indeed. The answer is not yes or no. Long term gay male couples often have discussed the matter before it ever comes up. In many cases, they will often agree that for the long-haul, emotional monogamy is the real test. Most men of whatever orientation find it quite easy to segregate sex and love and many of these couples maintain emotional monogamy but not physical sexual monogamy. Their are many flavours of this. If one member of a committed pair forms an emotional attachment to a man with whom they have had sex on occasion, the fury of a scorned woman will have nothing on the fury of a scorned gay man. The reason for that is that gay couples who allow for sex outside the relationship, the investment in trust is even greater. One has given the other an even higher level of trust that the other will maintain the separation of heart and penis in these other trysts.
So the answer depends on two things. First, do Anderson and Ben have such an understanding? If not, then the ground is crumbling beneath their relationship. If yes and Ben is not emotionally invested in this man from the park, then they should be fine after discussing more techniques regarding discretion. If yes and Ben has developed an emotional investment in this other man that detracts from his bond with Anderson, then the ground is crumbling and underneath boiling lava is rising to the surface. In public, Anderson Cooper seems quite unflappable, but who knows behind the door with curtains drawn.
