The ‘domestic goddess’ tells HollywoodLife.com she’d ‘love’ to appear on Fox’s musical comedy.
Who knew Roseanne Barr was such a gleek? Before taping her Comedy Central roast Aug. 5, the former sitcom queen gushed about how much she loves Glee — and how badly she wants to be on it! “I’m ready to be a lesbian to get on there,” Roseanne told HollywoodLife.com and other reporters.
Roseanne, 59, even knows what she wants to sing — and no, it wouldn’t be a reprisal of her infamous Star-Spangled Banner” performance (which you can watch in all its glory at the end of this post). She told us she’d do “something R&B.”
And we’re thinking Roseanne would be welcomed to McKinley High with open arms! Glee star Jane Lynch was also at the roast, and she told HollywoodLife.com exclusively why she has always looked up to Roseanne as a fellow female comedian.
“She was brave … and she also had no alternative but to be herself … and so many people related to that,” Jane told us. “People called her the domestic goddess, because [she said] a lot of things that housewives were thinking. … She really empowered a lot of people. She spoke for a lot of people in a special way.”
Any suggestions for an R&B jam Roseanne could sing on Glee? Drop us a comment below with your best idea(s)!
