America’s newest golden girl looks amazing even under the pressure of competition–here, tips for looking equally as good whether you’re at the gym or on the go!
Gabby Douglas, 16, looks so fresh-faced even when she’s mid-routine! Keeping your face from melting while you work out is no easy feat! If you do wear makeup when you’re at the gym, we asked makeup artist Colette Draut from Pierre Michel Salon in New York for tips on looking cool as your workout heats up.
“Mineral-based makeup is highly recommended at the gym, as it won’t clog pores when working up a sweat and is the best for your skin,” says Colette. For a naturally fresh, clean look, try using a pressed mineral powder foundation like Face Stockholm Mineral Powder Foundation. Stick to a waterproof mascara to make your eyes standout without smudging and go for a matte lipstick in a natural shade to perk up your pout.
“No blush is needed when you’re working out,” says Colette. “Your cheeks will get naturally flushed, so you don’t want to add blush to the mix and wind up looking like you have a sun burn!”
