Miley Cyrus Reveals 7 Reasons Her Marriage To Liam Hemsworth Will Work & I Believe Her

After reading Miley’s revealing new cover interview in the September issue of ‘Marie Claire,’ I’m a believer — she has a role model-worthy maturity about her relationship with Liam that is impressive. Here’s why.

When Miley Cyrus went public with the news that she was engaged at the very tender age of 19, there were a lot of skeptics discussing whether it was a wise decision. After all, 19 is young by any standard to get married, and especially young in Hollywood, where it’s rare for any marriage to have staying power.

I admit I was one of those skeptics, but after reading Miley being very uncelebrity-like and actually talking about her relationship with fiance Liam Hemsworth in great detail in her new Marie Claire cover interview, I think she and Liam are heading into marriage with real commitment and a great attitude. Here are all the reasons why their marriage can really go the distance:

#1) They’re in Love with Each Other — Not with Having a Blowout Hollywood Wedding!

Hooray for Miley! She’s planning to have a long engagement — a great idea, considering that she and Liam are so young and that they are having such a great time just being together. Furthermore, she’s not falling into the Fairytale Wedding Syndrome, where the goal is to have the perfect gigantic, romantic wedding, but there is no thought about the actual marriage that follows it — are you listening Kim Kardashian?

“I don’t really care about the wedding or the piece of paper as much as I do the promise we’ve made to each other,” she explains.

Now that’s the right way to start off a life-long commitment!

#2) She’s Not Afraid to Talk about Liam and Their Relationship.

It’s so refreshing to actually read a celebrity interview in which the subject isn’t freaking out about guarding her privacy and refusing to answer questions about her personal life.

The fact that Miley is willing to be so open about her feelings for Liam and her future with him reflects her complete sense of security in the relationship and in herself, which is very healthy.

She clearly is so confident about her romance that she doesn’t have to hide it, and that means that Liam is also making her feel confident and supported — good!

#3) Miley has the Best Reason for Marrying Young!

“Life is too short not to be with the person you want to be with,” she says. And she is absolutely right. She and Liam got lucky. They met when they were young, so why shouldn’t they spend all their time together?

This attitude reveals that they both have good values — they don’t need to waste time playing games with each other, or spending time searching for other “better” partners. Most people have to have their share of partying and multiple partners before they are ready to settle down with a life-long mate, but Miley and Liam are content with each other and don’t feel compelled to go on searching. “You remember who you really want around you,” she points out.

Plus, they don’t have any financial impediments to getting married. I get it — why wait for too long?

#4) Miley and Liam are Supportive of Each Other.

In another surprisingly mature confession, Miley explains that her parents have taught her that it’s incredibly important to be supportive of your mate. “You don’t put each other down. If one of you has an idea, it is always a good idea,” she says. “The other day Liam said he might want to do a clothing line. If he wants to try that, heck yeah – he should go for it! You put each other up, up, up. Also, if you’re fighting, you keep the focus on how you feel. You say, ‘I’m hurt,’ not, ‘This is why you screwed up,’” she explains.

I think it’s impressive that Miley has clearly given the workings of her relationship with Liam a lot of thought, and she’s thinking about it as an “us” relationship — not the kind of me, me, me marriage we see so often on reality TV.

#5) Miley and Liam are Happy Just Being Low-Key Together.

This isn’t a relationship for the cameras and red carpets. They are happiest just being Miley and Liam. She confesses that “I am super antisocial and such a homebody.” She and Liam love to stay home, and live two doors away from her parents. She and Liam fall asleep on their giant couch “all the time” — so cute. And we all know that when you meet a guy that you can fall asleep on the couch with — now that’s a key sign you’re meant to be together.

#6) Miley Insists that They Won’t Let Their Relationship be Ruined by Their Demanding Careers.

While Miley makes it apparent that their careers are really important, she insists that neither will let their jobs come between them. She explains that she reads Liam’s scripts and he critiques her music, but they don’t want a role or project to undermine their future.

“You want to make sure you are making the best decisions for the people you love,” she says. “A movie comes out and people forget it. A record comes out and people forget it. It’s not worth making someone you love (unhappy) over a (creative choice).”

Well, those are wise words coming out of the lips of someone so young. I guess it’s easier when you’ve already been so accomplished at a young age to be able to take a longer view and not agonize that you’re missing a key career move if you pass on a professional opportunity that could hurt your relationship. How many women could say that with confidence?

#7) Last but Not Least, Miley Insists that Neither She nor Liam is Super Jealous.

Well, if that’s true, it’s another testament to this pair’s maturity. There’s nothing more likely to kill a young marriage than jealousy or infidelity. Miley believes that both of those issues are B.S. “We know each other and would never do anything to hurt each other.”

That statement also speaks again to her own self-confidence and strong sense of self-esteem in a successful marriage, and to Liam’s maturity too.

So there you have it HollywoodLifers — the 7 reasons why Liam and Miley are the real deal, even if they’re young. Other Hollywood couples – young and not so young – might want to take a read!

What do you think HollywoodLifers – are you as impressed by Miley as I am? She’s earned my respect – what about yours? Tell me now!

Your grammar is terrible. You do not need a capital letter on every other word and also the last reason should be ‘are’ super jealous not ‘is’.

I think it has a chance to work! I think it depends on how mature you are, sometimes i think Miley can make some questionable choice. But she has changed a lot being with Liam, so i think their marriage will be good. I hope they both gain more Maturity, cuz Maturity never has hurt in a relationship

On Density Hope Cyrus & Liam Hemsworth & Selena Gomez & Chris Hemsworth & Vanessa Hudgens & Joe Jonas & Demi Lovato & m&m cru & ACDC Cru & Emily Osment & Mitchel Musso & Ashley Tisdale & Austin Nichols & Demi Moore & Thomas Jane & Kelly Osburne & James Franco & Mandy Jiroux & Alyson Stoner & The X Factor USA & Britney Spears & Joshua Hutcherson & Jeanette McCurdy & Justin Bieber & Camp Rock 2 : The Final Jam Cast & Kristen Stewart & Michael O’ Malley & Cast of High School 3 & Shawn Johnson & Ant Farm

Often the difference between a successful man and a failure is not one’s better abilities or ideas, but the courage that one has to bet on his ideas, to take a calculated risk, and to act.

A man who was completely innocent, offered himself as a sacrifice for the good of others, including his enemies, and became the ransom of the world. It was a perfect act.

You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty.

Is there in the whole world a being who would have the right to forgive and could forgive? I don’t want harmony. From love for humanity I don’t want it. I would rather be left with the unavenged suffering. I would rather remain with my unavenged suffering and unsatisfied indignation, even if I were wrong. Besides, too high a price is asked for harmony; it’s beyond our means to pay so much to enter on it. And so I hasten to give back my entrance ticket, and if I am an honest man I am bound to give it back as soon as possible. And that I am doing. It’s not God that I don’t accept, Alyosha, only I most respectfully return him the ticket.”

when I fall into the abyss, I go straight into it, head down and heels up, and I’m even pleased that I’m falling in such a humiliating position, and for me I find it beautiful. And so in that very shame I suddenly begin a hymn. Let me be cursed, let me be base and vile, but let me also kiss the hem of that garment in which my God is clothed; let me be following the devil at the same time, but still I am also your son, Lord, and I love you, and I feel a joy without which the world cannot stand and be.”

My dad was 17 when he married my mom who was 19. They dated 4 months before they got engaged. At least Miley and Liam have been together 3 years. They live together. I think they would know whether or not they’re meant to be. My parents have been together for almost 27 years and are still crazy in love. “Age is a number, maturity is a choice.”

You can’t just say that! You don’t know them. Let them make their own choices and if they screw up/ who doesn’t. Ok when you can say that your perfect and haven’t made any mistakes then you can start talking about them.

Wow. Bonnie Fuller used to be such a bitch about Miley that I avoided this site like the plague. I’m glad to see Bonnie being more supportive towards others. I’ve always thought Liam was pretty perfect for Miley.

Why do you capitalize the first letter of every word? It is incredibly annoying when I see ignorant morons doing this. Don’t you realize it exposes your ineptitude? How old were you when you dropped out of school and got on welfare (you’re welcome for all of the government handouts I fund, by the way)?

That’s what they all say at the beginning of their commited lives, but most of the time(when things get really hard) they no longer are not able to maintain their relationship on the same level as they used tol! But i wish them the best as she said: ‘life is so short not to spend it with the people you love the most’
