Who knew Penn Badgley could belt out a tune?

The Gossip Girl star performed at The Cribs concert on August 5, and according to mydiscmanbroke.com, Penn opened for the Indie band singing “Lilac Wine” — a famous Jeff Buckley rendition.

This is definitely a taste of what we can expect to see in Penn’s biopic, Greetings from Tim Buckley, in which he portrays the famous musician. Sadly, the movie currently doesn’t have a release date.

Penn is the third musician in the GG cast, joining Leighton Meester and Ed Westwick.We’d love to see the three of them perform together!
