Ice cream can’t even put out the drama-fueled fire on the ‘Bachelor Pad!’ Friends become enemies and girls sob over boys on the Aug. 6 episode. Read on for more details!
The episode kicked off wtih Reid Rosenthal admitting he’s on the chopping block this week after trying to send Ed Swiderski home. “If people realize I’m the one who tried to send Ed home, I could lose,” Reid says.
But before voting, these contestants have plenty of adventures that await them. First stop? A slippery ice cream course full of hot fudge and whip cream. Sounds sweet, but it quickly turns sour and messy.
The ladies are the first to go through the ice cream-filled course, but Chris Harrison decides to make them a milkshake. The regular couples are forced to part ways making Sarah super happy because she ends up with Michael Stagliano — but she seems to be the only one excited about this switch up.
The girls start the race and Rachel wins with Jamie and Lindzi not too far behind her. When the boys are up, Ed is left behind and doesn’t even finish the race. This is the second challenge in a row he hasn’t won, leaving him with yet another vote against him. Yikes! Super Fan David wins and has an epiphany he never thought he’d have: he actually has a chance to win the season.
“This is a game changer for me,” he says.
David gets the first date card and decides to take Blakeley, Jamie and Erica Rose out on the town. And their date causes David to turn up the romance with Jamie at PROM — who he ends up giving a rose to and kissing.
Next, Rachel receives a date card and picks Micheal, Tony and Nick to join her. Chris Bukowski says he’s bummed because he was hoping to escape the “war” – as he calls it — between Blakeley and Jamie that he’s created. Chris takes the lead and tells Blakeley not to get too emotionally invested, but she’s clearly not the one who he should be worrying about! Jamie drunkenly tries to seduce Chris, but he gives her the good old “it’s not you, it’s me” talk. Jamie says to stop playing games and Chris responds, “I’m not, I’m just telling you how it is.” Ouch!
Maybe it’s because he’s still pining over Emily Maynard? Or because he’s just in it to win the money? Either way, Jamie needs to take a hint.
Back to Rachel’s date, the foursome gets dressed up as wax figures and pretends to be themselves in the museum to spook fans. And it doesn’t take long until Rachel reveals that she has a crush on Michael Stagliano and surprise, surprise, we have a blossoming romance, because he says he feels the same way.
“I’ve never had someone be a friend and started crushing on her and when I kissed you it was like ‘whoah,’” Michael tells Rachel. “And since I kissed you it’s just gotten better.”
Aww! Back at the house, Sarah and Ed have a heart to heart talk where she reveals that Reid was trying to vote him off last week.
“I’m going to smash this guy,” Ed says.
Scary! Finally Ed confronts Reid.
“You say one thing and you do the complete opposite,” Ed says to Reid.
Reid realizes his mistake and the hole he’s dug for himself. Time for voting and everyone is sacred they’re going home. Blakeley is especially scared because supposedly she’s heard that her name has been mentioned to be going home.
So who gets the boot?
Reid and Donna!
Reid’s final words are that the “Bachelor Pad is a sick a deceptive place.” So sad!
