Miley reportedly was the victim of a prank known as ‘swatting’ when police raced to her home, suspecting an intrusion — only to find no one home! A source tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively how Miley felt after the alleged prank call! Read on to find out all the details!
When the police arrived to Miley’s home, no one was found — not even the LOL star, who happens to cover the September issue of Marie Claire magazine!
The LAPD responded immediately, sending a chopper, and officers with high powered weapons , who immediately set up a perimeter around the home with guns drawn, according to TMZ.
Cops reportedly determined the call was a false alarm — a prank known as “swatting” — after it was realized that no one was home.
A source tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively that “[Miley] was made aware that the cops came and went to her place. She had mixed emotions. She initially thought it was a joke, but then was happy that the response was as incredible as it was. God forbid something like that actually happened, she felt good that the response was quick, thorough and amazingly done. If [Miley] was there, she would have been initially scared, but then would of thought she was being ‘Punk’d.'”
Police tell TMZ that if the caller was a prankster, which it seems likely to be, the perpetrator will be arrested and face serious criminal charges.
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Should the caller be charged?
