Gabby Douglas has earned two gold medals so far during the 2012 Summer Olympic games in London — putting her on track to earn up to $10 million in endorsement deals!
Gabby is poised to remain one of the U.S.’s biggest Olympic icons and will most likely carry that status through the 2016 games, during which time endorsement deals will come flying her way!
Currently, Gabby is endorsed by consumer goods firm P&G and many companies will surely follow suit.
“The values companies look for are greatness, gold medal champions and hard work,” marketing expert Dan Migala told Forbes. “Gabby has all of those.”
Gabby won a solo all-around title on Thursday August 2 after winning with the U.S. “Fierce Five” team earlier this week. She is now the third straight American to win gymnastics’ biggest prize and the first African-American.
“I wanted to seize the moment,” Gabby said. “It hasn’t sunk in yet. Team finals hasn’t sunk in yet. But it will.”
