David Beckham opened the Summer Olympics on a speed boat, and it looks like his wife Victoria may close the London games with a Spice Girls reunion performance — or two! Read on to find out how Victoria pretty much confirmed the rumor!
The Spice Girls have not yet confirmed they will be performing at the Summer Olympics closing ceremony, but at this point it’s the worst kept secret in Hollywood — and Victoria Beckham (once known as Posh Spice) has all but confirmed the news!
Victoria tweeted on August 2 saying, “Look what I found!! X vb,” along with a photo of the most sparkly, glittery microphone known to man!
As of today, none of the original Spice Girls have stepped forward and confirmed the news, but this photo seems to point in that direction.
Victoria was asked during a radio interview in mid-July if she’d be interested in reuniting and she said, ”I don’t know about a comeback tour, but I loved being back with the girls…we are very excited about the Olympics.”
At nearly the same time as the photo was posted, Sunday Mirror entertainment columnist Dean Piper tweeted, “So the Spice Girls are all together rehearsing for the Olympics RIGHT NOW in London. #itsonb–ches.”
It looks like Victoria is going to have to try to outshine her husband David Beckham’s grand entrance during the opening ceremony!
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Are you excited for a Spice Girls performance?

OMG! If this turns out to be true, I will be so happy! I love the Spice Girls! I even have them on my playlists still, although I only listen to them in the shower or behind closed doors in my office at Dish. LOL! I heard the ceremony might last three hours but that won’t stop me from recording the whole event, just in case the rumors are true! Besides, I have the Hopper DVR, with a large amount of recording space to accommodate it all. Is it too soon to break out the platform shoes?!
