Summit Entertainment, the studio behind ‘Twilight’ is freaking out about Kristen Stewart’s cheating scandal, worried that it will affect cast promotions and box office numbers.
Although they issued a statement saying the promotion tour will go on as scheduled, a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that behind-the-scenes, Summit is extremely worried. They expect the news that Kristen Stewart cheated on Robert Pattinson to be fresh in everyone’s mind, even though it will be months after the scandalous photos were first released on July 24.
“Summit is very scared with how things will turn out. They are certainly putting on a strong face,” our source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
“They are very scared on how the fans will react and if they will have great box office. They expect all the fans will see it once and not come back for repeat performances,” our source continues.
The cast has been ordered to stay silent and not answer any questions about the affair during promotions of the movie.
Nancy Kirkpatrick, Summit’s president of worldwide marketing, told Entertainment Weekly on August 2:
“While it is studio policy not to comment on the personal lives of actors, Summit is moving full steam ahead and looking forward to this November’s opening of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2. We are confident that the film delivers amazing entertainment for our passionate fans and general audience alike.”
Unfortunately for Summit, Rob and Kristen are more interested in their relationship than the movie right now.
