Robert Pattinson has taken Kristen Stewart‘s cheating quite hard, which is entirely understandable. But, contrary to earlier reports, he’s not canceling any scheduled press appearances for Cosmopolis or Breaking Dawn — Part 2!
Even though a source close to Rob tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively, “[Rob] is afraid that he will start crying if people bring up Kristen in an interview setting,” the actor is moving ahead with scheduled promotion for his new movie Cosmopolis. This not only takes guts, but absolute bravery!
According to People, Rob, 26, is slated to attend the film’s premiere in New York City on August 13 and speak to reporters at a press event the following day — who will surely grind him with questions regarding his relationship with Kristen!
By appearing on the red carpet so soon after Kristen cheated on him and admitted it to the world, Rob is showing his fans just how strong he really is!
Not only is Rob committing to work for Cosmopolis, but he’s also set to appear during Breaking Dawn — Part 2 promotion as well!
“While it is studio policy not to comment on the personal lives of actors, Summit is moving full steam ahead and looking forward to this November’s opening of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2. We are confident that the film delivers amazing entertainment for our passionate fans and general audience alike,” Summit’s president of worldwide marketing, Nancy Kirkpatrick, said in a statement to Entertainment Weekly.
It’s no lie that Kristen, 22, may have ruined her career in the face of her cheating scandal, but Rob is not letting this episode get the best of him!
Studio Executive Dorian Rubin tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively, “Right now there is nothing Kristen Stewart can do to save her career. Her career exists on her fans and right now her fans are not happy. They feel betrayed, they are upset, it’s not a good sign for Kristen. The reason Kristen became so successful in the first place was because of her fans. For studio executives, fan base equals box-office dollars. If Kristen loses her fans she loses value! It doesn’t matter that she is only 22-years-old and was may have been taken advantage of by her older director, her fans are that age or younger and they may not forgive her. They were all hoping that the photos were photo-shopped. So many hearts were broken, not just Rob’s, but all of her fans. Bella Swan would NEVER do something like this!”
Unlike Kristen, Rob’s career may flourish post-cheating scandal. America sure loves to cheer for and support the wounded. And Rob is taking his career in his own hands by not letting Kristen and Rupert ruin THIS part of his life!
Rob’s confidence, trust and sense of self were beat down when Kristen cheated on him with her Snow White and the Huntsman director! He was completely humiliated — yet, he plans on putting himself on the red carpet, facing many photographers, interviewers and fans!
No wonder Rob is reportedly afraid he may cry on the carpet. He’s so used to walking down the carpet with Kristen, his girlfriend of four years, on his arm! That will certainly feel lonely, upsetting and devastating!
I can’t imagine what Rob is going through right now, but what I do know is that Rob is extremely brave for continuing with work commitments despite getting his heart SMASHED!
