The ‘Teen Mom’ star said she became so depressed in the years after her daughter was born, that she wanted to take her own life! Read on for all the details.
Farrah Abraham opened up about falling into a deep depression a couple years after giving birth to her daughter Sophia. The reality star said she turned to alcohol and drugs, but she ultimately thought suicide would be the best option. She even plotted out a specific way to kill herself.
“I figured I would drown myself in the bathtub — that seemed like the easiest way to go,” she told In Touch magazine in an interview to promote her book, My Teenage Dream Ended. ”‘All I could think about was killing myself.”
The Teen Mom star, who got pregnant at 16, said her deepest depression happened when her daughter was a toddler. That’s when she turned to drugs and alcohol for relief.
“When I drank, I’d be happy for 10 minutes,” she said in the interview. “When I got high, I’d feel a sense of nothingness for about an hour. But in the end, my negative emotions always came rushing back.”
After struggling for so long, Farrah finally decided to seek help. She sees a therapist and takes medication, and says she’s more focused than ever on taking care of her young daughter.
Farrah reveals more about her depression in her upcoming book, My Teenage Dream Ended, which comes out on Aug. 14.

I think everyone should just leave all for teen mom girls alone. Yeah their show is fun to watch but that doesn’t mean you judge every little detail of their life so they have issues, so does every other person out there.

Such a drama queen, I can see she just want ppl’s attention, there was no alcohol/drug use. Do you seriously think her mom would let her do them? -No.

She is such a freaking idiot…I can’t stand to hear her talk. She sounds so uneducated. I don’t see how in the world she could write a book. She is a spoiled, disrespectful person. No wonder why no one wants anything to do with her. No one can stand to be around her. Her child is what? 3 and still walks around with a pacifier in her mouth!!! She is a horrible mother. Now with this coming out I hope they take that child from her and have her mother raise it.

It is funny how all of this seems to come out now, when she is being in the spotlight as the horrible, rude, obnoxious and ungrateful person she is. I think it is another way to try to turn the tables when she is being scrutinzed. I don’t feel sorry for her at all. She has had it all…all her life and treated the two people who supported her, took care of her baby for her and who did all they could to give her the best advantages in life a pile of crap. You drank and did drugs because you were an immature, irrespnsible girl. Give me a break.

that’s wat she now she see how it feels when her own daughter talks to her rude jus like she does to her mom! everything she’s said to her mom sophia says it to her..if she wouldn’t have been that stupid and say those things in front of sophia! plus she still don’t even take care of her that good!
