A ten-month-old girl with Down syndrome from Miami graces the cover of Dolores Cortes’ swimwear catalogue, and made her runway debut at Miami Swim Fashion Week in July! Read all about this adorable mini model!

Valentina Guerrero is the new face for designer’s children’s swimwear line! She was chosen as the official model for the Dolores Cortes‘ Kids USA 2013 swimwear campaign, and is the first person with Down syndrome to front a prestigious fashion designer’s campaign.

Valentina also appears on the cover of the U.S. catalogue for the Spanish fashion designer, and well as in several other adorable photos inside.

“People with Down’s syndrome are just as beautiful and deserve the same opportunities,” Dolores said in a statement. “I’m thrilled to have Valentina modelling for us.”

The mini-model also made her runway fashion debut at Miami Swim Fashion Week, and was carried on stage by the designer herself.

Dolores will donate 10 percent of the profits from the Kids USA collection to the Down Syndrome Association of Miami.

Valentina, who was born in September 2011, is the daughter of Cecilia Elizalde, a Miami TV host, and her partner Juan Fernando.

Cecilia said her daughter “teaches us much more than we will ever teach her.”

How adorable! We are so happy the beautiful baby was chosen as the main model for the swimwear campaign!

What a cutie pie! If it wasn’t for the title of the article (and the fact that I read it) I would’ve never guessed she had Down Syndrome. :)
