The 17-year-old Colorado native is taking the Olympics by storm — breaking medals, records and even getting praise from pop star heartthrob Justin Bieber.
Missy swam the semis of the 200-meter freestyle in London, and 10 minutes later, won the gold medal 10 minutes later in the 100-meter backstroke. Not too long after she won her second medal — a bronze — in the 4×100-meter freestyle relay.
Missy has beat mens swimming in the race to snag a medal — beating Michael Phelps.
The 17-year-old is up for another race today and could win her THIRD medal in less than 48 hours!
