Michael Phelps Breaks Record With 19th Olympic Medal

Congratulations Michael! The Olympic swimmer earned his 19th Olympic medal making him the most decorated Olympian ever!

Another Summer Olympics, another broken record by Michael Phelps! The swimmer, 27, won the gold medal in 4×200-meter freestyle relay on July 31 in London making Olympic history!

After a rough start, the swimmer finally won his first gold medal at the London Olympics. Michael’s relay team included Ryan LochteConor Dwyer, and Ricky Berns.

Michael won the last leg of the relay coming in at 6 minutes and 59.70 seconds. France came in second with 7:02.77 and China took the bronze medal with 7:02.77.

Over three Olympics, Michael has earned a total of 19 Olympic medals: 15 gold, 2 silver, and 2 bronze.
