Nina Dobrev Shoots Down Engagement Rumors: 'I'm Not Going To Pull A Miley'

In a new interview, ‘The Vampire Diaries’ star says marriage is definitely in her future — but ‘not anytime soon!’

Nina Dobrev, 23, is in no rush to put a ring on it. During a new interview with Canadian magazine Fashion, Nina is asked how she feels about getting engaged — her low-key romance with co-star Ian Somerhalder is rarely, if ever, avoidable in these discussions — and she says she’s in no rush to walk down the aisle. “Eventually I am going to marry and have a family, but not anytime soon,” she says. “I’m not going to pull a Miley.”

Nina is, of course, referring to Miley Cyrus becoming engaged to boyfriend Liam Hemsworth at the tender age of 19.

I actually really respect Nina for saying this. In Hollywood, marriages end nearly as quickly as they begin — Kim Kardashian, anyone? — so it’s nice to see she’s got a good head on her shoulders.
