Liberty Ross, 33, has two kids with husband and SWATH director Rupert Sanders, but she said in a magazine interview that she felt more like a single mom. The interview was conducted only a few weeks before his cheating scandal with Kristen Stewart became public — did she know he was straying?
Liberty opened up to YOU magazine in an interview just two weeks before photos surfaced of her husband’s extramarital affair with her SWATH costar.
She said it was “daunting” and “isolating” to move away from her glamorous life in London to support her husband’s career in Los Angeles.
“‘I went from the glamour of working with Karl Lagerfeld and John Galliano to living on an isolated hilltop, with my husband gone most of the time,” she said in the interview, according to Daily Mail.
Although Liberty said he had romanticized about being a mom and a wife for so long, it actually turned out to be very lonely for her.
“I would never say out loud that I am raising my children alone, but a lot of the time it has felt like that.” Could Liberty have known that for as much as her husband was away, he could have been with Kristen Stewart during that time?
The model then added a statement that is heart-breaking in light of Rupert and Kristen’s cheating scandal.
“But that’s why everything feels so amazing now. We rode through the really hard times and we stuck it out.”
If only she knew the hardest times were yet to come.
