China One Child Policy

A man scavenging through trash bins in China discovered a newborn baby girl whose throat had been cut — how awful.

The baby is believed to be an innocent victim of China’s one child policy. Born prematurely between 32 and 34 weeks, the girl was thrown into the trash bin in a plastic bag with her placenta and umbilical cord still attached.

The man who discovered the child told police he thought the baby wasn’t real at first because she was purple and wasn’t moving.

After being discovered in the trash bin, the newborn was immediately rushed to the hospital in Anshan, China.

According to a witness, “She was still breathing and had a heartbeat. Blood from the wound stained the whole body.”

The baby’s neck wound was two inches wide and cut so deep it went down to her windpipe. The doctor was able to close the wound, but he said the baby “would have died instantly” if the cut was any deeper.

After the baby recovers she will be put in a children’s home.
