Rupert’s indiscretion with his leading lady Kristen Stewart may have ruined any chance he had of returning to the franchise, HollywoodLife.com has learned exclusively.
Snow White and the Huntsman was Rupert Sanders‘ first feature film as a director. It’s also the movie that has torn his life apart, as it’s where he met star Kristen Stewart, with whom he’s cheated on his wife of seven years, Liberty Ross. We’ve now learned that his cheating has probably ruined any possibility of Rupert returning to direct a sequel.
A source close to the film told HollywoodLife.com exclusively that, while the sequel to the hit film is still only in its scripting phase, the chances of Rupert, 41, being contracted to direct are slim.
“Cheaper directors with less baggage in a scandal like this can and will be found…[This] is the most likely scenario if a sequel is ever made,” our source says, continuing, “The likelihood of him directing [Kristen] in another movie, let alone Snow White 2, is HIGHLY unlikely.”
It’s a shame Rupert couldn’t keep his personal and professional lives separate because we really would have liked to have the opportunity to see what he could bring to a SWATH sequel. As it stands now, it looks like that will never happen.
What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Are YOU disappointed that Rupert has probably blown his chance to direct the sequel to his film?
