Kristen, hooking up with a married man with kids is NOT a good thing. Nor is cheating on your loyal boyfriend. Still, Rupert’s behavior is far more inexcusable!
Kristen Stewart – you are, no doubt, now mortified, humiliated and filled with regret that your steamy make-out sessions have been caught on camera and are published in the pages of Us Weekly.
Reality has slapped you in the face. You’ve cheated on your long-time boyfriend Robert Pattinson, who worships the ground you walk on, which is bad enough. It’s so hurtful to Rob and he’s done nothing to deserve the pain he’s no doubt feeling.
But even worse, your behavior with Rupert may end up leading to the demise of his marriage — and there’s NOTHING redeeming about destroying a family, especially one with young children, ages 5 and 7.
Yes, all of that is bad. And you absolutely let your better judgement go poof! — out the window.
Nevertheless, I think anyone who’s throwing blame around seriously needs to take into account the fact that you are just 22 years old.
You are young and probably just a little naive.
On the other hand, Rupert Sanders, the SWATH director and your lover, is almost twice your age, at 41. And he IS married with two children.
He is old enough and experienced enough to know exactly what he’s been doing in every way.
Old enough to know that he was risking his wife and family, while indulging in his hijinks with you.
He’s also old enough to know how this could hurt both your careers, especially YOUR career, Kristen. He knows what an enormous fan base you have of young women who look up to you as a role model. He knows that this episode could severely damage your relationship with your fans.
He also had to know that it could hurt your career as well. One of your key assets IS your huge relationship with your fans who will come to your movies.
At least, they would have come to your movies.
I doubt Rupert was planning to leave his wife for you so he was destroying your great relationship with Rob, hurting your career AND sending a dagger into his own wife, Liberty Ross‘, heart.
Plus, he wasn’t just older, he was also your “boss” on the film, so he’s in the power position in your relationship.
For all these reasons, he deserves more of the blame in this sad, devastating situation!
It’s clear from how quickly you issued your public apology that you knew you messed up big time.
“I’m deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I’ve caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I’m so sorry.”
Now the questions are: Will Rob forgive you? Will your fans forgive you?

how many people have not admitted wrong. now she can start healing after the media finishes with her. hopefully learn from this and get or keep life moving positively. and watch out for those wolves called married older powerful men. don’t commend her actions but the media is making it one-sided.

All I can say is that even if he’s a person in a position of power, you don’t go around sleeping with him. He saw an opportunity to sleep with a younger woman and she saw the experience she could get from sleeping with him .. simple as that. She’s not 15 for crying out loud .. At 22 years of age, she already knows what she’s doing. No matter how many advances a married guy makes on you, you have the responsibility to refuse as it’ll obviously wreck his marriage and .. just think about his kids.

I agree on blaming Rupert more. Older men using a position of power for booty calls is pretty unethical in my opinion. Kind of prescient when Kristen was asked how people got ahead in HW and she said you’re sitting on it. Pretty sad in this day and age that older men are still preying on young actors.

Thanks Bonnie for your insight. Yes she is young, everyone seems to forget that Rob was eyeing her since the first Twilight movie came out, never backing down on his admiration for her, she was in a relationship back then too. Rob is probably her second BF, and is also someone besides her that understands how it is to be in their crazy world. I have to give Krisen props for admitting the indiscretion, admitting to the world that she loves Rob.
Rob and Kristen alone have to decide on what is best for them, take this a teachable moment and grow from there. She should have known better than to cheat with a married man, but sometimes things happen that can’t be explained.
Wonder what people would say if Rob cheated on Kristen, bet you they’d still blame Kristen beause how she is perceived

Bonnie you are so right! Although Kristen Stewart is an adult, she project herself as a Tomboy and tough. I venture to say she is quite shy and vulnerable. This man took advantage of her and used his position of power over her. Any way you slice he knew better. Even if she was the aggressor as a director, I am sure this was the first time someone came on to him. She is a young adult still finding her way. She should know better. I have prayed daily for Kristen and Robert since I saw Twilight. My prayer has been that they stay true to themselves. This is an opportunity for all of us to remember that we always have to look ourselves and our loved ones on the eyes. At the end of the day if we can do that it’s been a good day! Peace

kristen has been a big part of my life, i admire her and think she is amazing, but this scandal has brought me to feel almost betrayed. But no metter what happens i will suport her and Rob no matter what. I really hope that they can work things out (even though that is unlikely)
As for Rupert, i hope him and his family work things out even if it ends in divorce. I also hope his kids dont hate him.
I hope that this will eventually blow over and not everyone will obsess over this anymore

honestly people do these kinds of things everyday. people make mistakes and they learn from them she said it was just in the moment so it was. shes young and yes hes older but at the same time they’re both human. everyone is always curious about someone or something else but their call if they act. either way im a huge ffan of hers and i stand by her it was a mistake shes allowed to make them shes still human at the end of the day.

I think both are entirely in the wrong. So she’s only 22, that does NOT excuse her. He should be disgusted with himself for cheating on his wife and she should know better than to get involved with a married man. Age does not excuse a person and she’s hardly a child. It’s true that she’s not a child, but that doesn’t mean that she’s completely an adult either. People’s brains don’t finish developing until about age 25, meaning that people under the age of 25 are much more likely to do reckless things without fully considering the consequences. I’m not saying what she did was right, by ANY means! But he should have been the adult that he is and said no if she was the one coming onto him, or just kept it to himself if he came on to her.
