William Balfour has received his sentencing in the murders of three of Jennifer Hudson’s family members — and he will serve three consecutive life sentences.
Balfour, 31, was first convicted on May 11 of first degree murder for the killings of Jennifer Hudson‘s mom, brother and 7-year-old nephew. Today he was sentenced to three consecutive life terms in prison.
Balfour claimed his innocence in the killings of Jennifer’s mom Darnell Donerson, brother Jason Hudson, and nephew Julian King until the very end, but as the judge sentenced him, he said “Your soul is as barren as dark space.”
The murders took place in 2008. Four years later, the sentencing took place in Chicago and Jennifer was present for the ruling.
