'The L.A. Complex': Cassie Steele Reveals Abby's 'Messy' New Secret

Cassie gives HollywoodLife.com the scoop on all the impending drama this season. Also, we talk about Pokemon.

If you thought the first season of The L.A. Complex was bats**t crazy, you haven’t seen anything yet! Season two, which continues at 9 p.m. tonight on The CW, finds the residents of The Lux deeper in the hole than ever before — and there, at the center of the madness, is Cassie Steele. She tells HollywoodLife.com what we can expect from Abby next (she’s got a secret!) and how she really feels about Abby’s awkward relationship with Nick (Joe Dinicol).

Read on for my full interview with Cassie:

I have to admit, I’m really jealous you get to work with Alan Thicke this season.

He’s a really cool guy! It’s a lot of fun. We’ve also got Paul F. Tompkins again this season, and he’s hilarious. I’ve gotten to work with a few cool people.

Were you a fan of Growing Pains as a kid?

Not so much. I was sort of into Pokemon. That was kind of my schtick.

Who wasn’t? Did you have a favorite?

Pokemon? Oh, God. I mean, there are a few, obviously. I feel like everybody liked Jigglypuff. And Eevee. And Pikachu! He was really cool. And Charizard — that big thing.

I was a Bulbasaur man, myself.

Bulbasaur, really? … He’s a little strange.

Yeah… Anyway, back to The L.A. Complex, I love the story line Abby has with the ‘siblings’ on Saving Grace. How twisted it that going to get?

It’s going to get pretty twisted. When does Abby ever have good luck, like real luck? Also, I love who they cast for that. They do such a great job. I’m excited to see people’s reactions to it.

I know she’s helping them keep a secret. Will she have to go to crazy lengths to make that happen?

Definitely, and as we all know, secrets usually surface. And they’re usually messy when they surface.

Now what about Abby and Nick? They’re in a weird place. What can we expect from them?

This season picked up a day after the first season ended, so Abby and Nick have only been going out for a short amount of time. They’re still quite new, so I don’t think they’re very serious. It moved a little fast because she’s crashing with him, but you’ll see how everything turns out in the next episode.

Will Abby continue to help Tariq with his Kaldrick drama?

Yes! Tariq and Kaldrick need a buffer, and she tries to be that as much as she can.

And will we hear Abby sing again?

Yeah, for sure. I’ve pressured them into letting me do it. I think I’ve got a pretty good hold on them.

The last time we spoke, you told me your favorite story line — other than Abby’s — was Tariq’s and Kaldrick’s. Is that still true?

Well… there are a couple love triangles this season, and obviously those are really interesting. Nick and Sabrina and that whole thing is really funny. They have great chemistry and great banter. We’ve also got a few recurring stars to look forward to. I can’t even say I have a favorite [story line] this time, because there’s so much going on. Everybody has both of their hands in the mud.

How about you, L.A. Complex fans? Do you have a favorite story line? Drop me a comment with your thoughts on the second season — and what you’d like to see happen next — below!

Tariq and Kal is still my favorite story, and it just breaks my heart to watch. But the biggest story is that this show is still on the air – I love it and I hope the audience grows!!
