Miley Cyrus — Choosing Love With Liam Hemsworth Over Her Career

She won a Teen Choice Award, but Miley skipped the ceremony to be with Liam! Did she make the right choice?

Miley Cyrus was awarded the Choice Female Hottie at the 2012 Teen Choice Awards on July 22, but she wasn’t there to accept her award in person. Instead, she was in Philadelphia, visiting her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth.

Miley took to her Twitter account on the evening of the awards ceremony to tweet a thank you to fans, saying, “So sad I [wasn't] able to be at TCA tonight! My fans are amazing! Thank you beyond! TCA is my favorite cause it comes from y’all :) I love u.” But the only reason the 19-year-old starlet couldn’t attend was because she was visiting Liam on the set of his new film, Paranoia.

While we think it was sweet that Miley took a moment to tweet to all her fans after her award was announced, we wish we could have seen her there to accept it in person!

Why oh why did she quit her career, she did, she has done absolutely nothing for 2 years. Nothing public, although she did go on tour over a year ago which was cool, but other than that, nothing. The only news about her is what she’s wearing.

Though it was sweet that she loves Liam so much that she didn’t want to be apart from him even for TCA, she needs to balance out her career too. I think a women doing great at her career is sexy and having something else to focus on is important for a relationship.

she won 2 awards !! fashion icon & female hottie ! & she was supposed 2 attend she even got an outfit (thats what she said on twitter) but family & health comes first that’s what she said

Miley is trying to find the right balance between her personal and professioal life. During the course of their
relationship Liam has been supporting miley by attending
events with her and watching her performances. And
she being supportive of him right now I think it is important
for her and Liam to learn how to balance their personal and
professional lives. So it will give their future Marrige a at
success. The reason many marriges fail in is that the
alot of the cerleberty couples have problems with the work
and life balace

I totally agree with you. Kudos to Miley & Liam for their commitment to one another. I beleive their marriage will work – love and commitment are more important than a silly surfboard award.
