A 12-year-old kid is believed to be the youngest victim who was fatally shot during the ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ theater massacre that occurred in the early morning of July 20. The tragic incident left a reported 71 people shot, 12 of whom died.

James Holmes, 24, the suspected gunman, opened fire to a packed theater in Aurora, Colorado during a midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises. 12 people have been confirmed dead, the youngest of whom was 12 years old.

The frightening incident took place shortly after the movie started. Witnesses saw a man kick open an emergency exit door, and then release some sort of gas bomb before opening fire in the movie theater.

His rounds of ammunition wounded 58 people, and killed an additional 12. A three-month-old baby is believed to be one of the injured, and a 12-year-old is reportedly the youngest victim who was killed during the deadly massacre.

We are grieving this horrific tragedy, and our thoughts are with the victims and their families.

Are you absolutely kidding me?!? People are dead you insensitive moron and you are taking this terrible event and reminding people to vote for your precious Kirsten Stewart movies in the pathetic Teen Choice Awards. You should be hanging your head in shame that you would trivialise the death of 12 people simply to tell people to vote for two horrible movies. I will now be voting for any other film but those two.

As sad as the whole situation is, who in their right mind brings a 3 month old to a midnight showing of a movie? Not like they could have known what was going to transpire but still

Totally agree. It is suggested for audiences over 13 …. and a 3 month old should be in bed at night and not in a movie theater. Those movies can really scare little children.

My condolences go out to the victims families though!!!

I totally agree! Such irresponsible parents out there…. There’s no reason why a 3 month old and a 6 year old should have been at a midnight showing of such a violent movie! Such a tragedy!! RIP little angel
