Amber could get out of the Indiana jail where she is serving a 5-year sentence in as little as 2 1/2 years for good behavior! Read on for the juicy details!
Douglas S. Garrison, Chief Communications Officer of Indiana Department of Correction, tells HollywoodLife
“After undergoing the diagnostic process, the decision has been made to keep Amber Portwood at the Rockville Correctional Facility in Indiana,” Douglas said.
“Amber’s sentence is five years, but could be as little as 21/2 years for good behavior,” he continued.
The good news is she has the opportunity to see her daughter, Leah Shirley, 3, whom she has with on-again, off-again boyfriend Gary Shirley.
“She now has visitation rights and can see her daughter. There is a family visiting area center which has books and toys,” he said.
However, when Amber was undergoing the diagnostic process, she wasn’t allowed any visitors, including her baby girl.
The correctional facility where Amber is staying Amber is now living has aout 1,100 women living in dorm-style housing, with about 16 per room.
Hopefully, this sentence will help Amber get her life back on track.
“During the day, Amber will go to therapeutic programming which includes anger management. If she so chooses, she can get her high school diploma and take adult education classes,” Douglas said.

Get well Amber! You are a good Mother! There are alot of people cheering you on, I wish you the best. Just learn to count to 10 before getting mad. And dont let Gary or anyone make you mad. I dont like Gary and hes not good for you. I think he antagonizes you in subtle ways.
