For Justin Bieber, it takes 140 characters or less to make someone an insta-celebrity!
Justin Bieber took to his Twitter account yesterday to show praise for little-known singer Madison Beer, resulting in the 13-year-old trending worldwide and gaining nearly 30,000 followers overnight. With Justin’s stamp of approval, is Madison the next Carly Rae Jepsen?
Justin tweeted Tuesday, July 17, “wow. 13 years old! she can sing. great job. #futurestar ,” linking to a YouTube video so that his 25 million followers can, too, hear Madison belt out her cover of Etta James’ song, “At Last”. In case that wasn’t enough to get the buzz going, Justin even tweeted videos directly to Carly Rae and Bruno Mars of Madison singing mash-ups of their songs.
Earlier this year, Justin introduced the world to one of the catchiest songs of all time, Carly Rae’s “Call Me Maybe” and Carly Rae went on to sign with Justin’s talent manager, Scooter Braun. Rumor has it that Madison is in talks to sign with him, too!
Justin himself rose to fame with the help of mentor Usher and it seems he’s doing the same for up-and-coming talents.
Check out the video yourself, HollywoodLifers. Do YOU think Madison is the next new singing sensation?
