Sage’s mom says he went through extensive dental work before his death — and was likely taking painkllers. Read on for the details.

When Sage Stallone was found dead on July 13, investigators said his death might have been the result of an accidental overdose. In her first interview since the tragedy, Sasha Czack, Sage’s mom and Sylvester‘s ex-wife, sheds light on Sage’s life just before his death.

In a interview with the NY Post, Sasha reveals that Sage, 36, had five teeth pulled two weeks before he was found dead. She had warned him against the procedure, but he did it anyway.

“I told him not to do that. I’ve heard about people dying having multiple procedures done to your mouth. Do not have more than one tooth [pulled],” she said.

When she was asked if her son was taking painkillers, Sasha replied, “Wouldn’t you be?”

This new information certainly seems to shed some light on the circumstances surrounding Sage’s death.
