And now she’s setting an example for women who want to start a family without giving up their careers by taking on her next job with a baby on the way.
“Another piece of good news today – @zackbogue and I are expecting a new baby boy!” she announced on Twitter on July 16.
The exciting news that Marissa, 37, and her financier husband, Zachary Bogue, are expecting a baby boy in October came after she announced she was leaving Google to be Yahoo’s fifth chief executive. Marissa, who has been at Google for 13 years, resigned on July 16 — and begins her new position today, July 17.
And despite having a baby on the way, Marissa says she will be taking little time off.
“My maternity leave will be a few weeks long and I’ll work throughout it,” she told Fortune magazine.
We’re so happy for Marissa!
