Oh no! One of Emily’s suitors doesn’t even get on one knee, but will be the ‘Live After the Finale Rose Ceremony’ to address ‘lingering feelings.’ Read on for more details!
In less than a week the world will know who stole (if anyone!) Emily Maynard‘s heart: Jef Holm or Arie Luyendyk Jr.!
And while everyone is speculating how the season finale will unfold on July 22, trustworthy Reality Steve confirms one of the two men definitely doesn’t get down on one knee to propose.
“What I’ve been told is at some point since filming ended, Arie and Emily may have had some sort of contact. Whether it be a phone call, a text, etc. I don’t know. But for whatever reason, there’s some “lingering feelings/issues” with these two that will be addressed come the live finale. However, it does not affect what’s already taken place, and that’s Emily and Jef being engaged,” Steve writes. “As for Curacao, I was told that Arie didn’t propose. Now, was it because he got up to the altar and Emily rejected him before he could, or, did she let him go early like a lot of people who’ve emailed me seem to be insinuating? That I don’t know. The information I was told was Arie didn’t propose, Emily left Curacao engaged to Jef and they are still engaged.”
Hmmm! So perhaps the reports of Arie getting cold feet ARE true! It sure looks like it in the preview below.

My guess is that Emily made a decision prior to the final rose episode that she wanted to accept Jef’s marriage proposal and was not going to marry Arie. She felt it dishonest and unfair to both Jef and Arie to keep stringing Arie along, and also had the integrity to spare Arie the humliation of proposing to her.
