Usher Stepson Brain Dead

After a tragic accident, Usher’s 11 year-old stepson was declared brain dead. HollywoodLife.com has an EXCLUSIVE update on Kile’s health and how the family is doing. Read on for details.

Kile Glover, the son of Usher‘s ex-wife Tameka Foster, was struck by a jet ski while floating on an inner tube in Lake Lanier near Atlanta, GA on July 7. According to a source close to the situation, Kile’s health is declining, but his mother is still holding out hope for a miracle.

“Everyone but Tameka has seen the writing on the wall. It’s only a matter of time that her son will pass and not make it as he is doing really bad,” a source close to the situation reveals to HollywoodLife.com. “But no one is telling Tameka their thoughts, because she is not even considering pulling the plug and is still looking for a miracle.”

As soon as Usher heard the news, he rushed to be by his stepson’s side at the hospital. The accident has taken a huge toll on the singer and he’s struggling with how to handle it.

“Usher is in no way talking with Tameka on what he thinks should be done,” the source said. “He is still shaken up over the whole ordeal.”

In an effort to make things easier for his ex-wife during this trying time, Usher agreed to settle his custody battle with Tameka over their two sons. According to the source, Tameka is mentally and physically exhausted from fighting for her son’s life.

“Its a very emotionally taxing time for all right now and Tameka is emotionally tired and wiped out,” the source shared. “She is getting no sleep.”

Being the mom of a child that died unexpectedly, I soooo understand Tameka’s feelings. Its not so much the loss of Kyle as it is the hopelessness that comes from not being able to do anything about it…..plus, the recent loss of her marriage……that’s a lot of losses and not enough time to recover. I pray for both her and Usher, and their children who will not emerge unscaved. A child’s death sweeps through a family like the plague. I pray that she gets to peach at the end of this difficult trial.

The media needs to get it straight and stop being irresponsible. Brain death is legal death, it is NOT a coma. His death certificate will have the date and time when he was declared brain dead not the time they turned the vent off. It is NOT life support for there is NO life left to support. I know this because I’m a nurse who specialized in explaining brain death to family members for several years of my career. Do not get brain death confused with a coma. They are not the same! In a coma, your body receives signals from the brain and still functions. In brain death, there are no signals and everything is artificially maintained.
Think of it as a cell phone where the service has been cut off. It may turn on but you will never be able to make a call!
I feel horrible for the family but it’s time to let go and hopefully give the gift of life to someone else.

This all makes sense but you CAN NOT expect a mother to let go. Really, that’s just an awful thing to say, sure it’s pointless having hope at this time but who said love was logical?
You’re taking a professional’s behavior and I get it since you’re one, just don’t expect a loving mother to think like you do…
Holding on can be just another grief in process for her!
Anyway may God rest his little soul and keep them all afloat

Tameka Foster, has every right to hold on. NO one knows GOD’s plan. NO one!!!

I watched both my parents at the age of 59 and 70 in a coma for weeks on end, but it was miracle that brought them out and today they are alive and well. Man may have given up on them but GOD does NOT!

If it is GOD’s plan for him to live, he will and I admire Tameka for holding on to that hope. Faith can move mountains.

Man has done what he can (i hope) know it up to GOD.

Sometimes GOD takes us to such mind-blowing, heart-wrenching situations for a reason. It may be nothing to do with the child or person who is ill but those around him/her.

We so often take GOD and people for granted. So wrapped up in life, worldly possessions, money….and for what????????

Look at Michael J or Whitney Houston – no money in the World can save you – when you give up on GOD and get wrapped up in life’s temptations…be it drugs, appearances, alcohol or anything that is not of His Will. They were both very exceptional individuals with GOD given talents which but they chose the wrong directions. It wasn’t GOD’s way but their way, the world’s way.

Tameka – you hang in there. A Miracle is on its way. Continue to Thank GOD that you have already received it.

I command the illness and weakness in Kyle’s body to get out right now. You have no place in this boy’s body or life. He is a child of the Most High GOD. Good Health and Restoration has overtaken Kyle….Halleluiah, Halleluiah….In Jesus’ name AMEN.

this is the thing people got to understand about brain death, once a person is brain dead they are not “going to die” they are already dead because the brain is completely dead. our brain is what tells us to wake up, walk, talk, put words together to form a sentence i mean everything! so i don’t people don’t mean no harm its just facts. One thing is for sure though JESUS SAVES!!!!!!!
