Because of Louis and Harry’s close relationship, there have been rumors that they may be more than friends. In a new interview, Louis sets the record straight about their bromance.
“This is a subject that was funny at first but now is actually hard to deal with as I am in a relationship,” Louis revealed.
Louis explained that people are mistaking best friends from something more and it’s actually having a negative impact on his relationship with Harry.
“Me and Harry are best friends, people look into our every move, it is actually affecting the way me and Harry are in public, we want to joke around but there seems to be a different rumor every time we do anything,” Louis said. “I act the same way with Harry as I do any of the other boys and my childhood friend Stan.”

I really think it’s best that you stop printing articles like these. You’re the ones who are making it difficult- not us. We’re the ones expressing what we believe; you’re the ones starting the rumours. If these articles didn’t start, it would have stayed within the fandom- more-or-less, anyway.
If you actually looked into it in detail, you would see all the screw ups and it would be oh-so-obvious that they were together. People just can’t accept the fact that they are together because they are both boys. If one of them was a girl, there’d be no doubt in anybody’s mind as to whether or not they were a couple.
People need to get over the fact that some people are gay. And Louis is one of them. And Harry is bisexual- he’s said it in a Swedish interview before, anyway, just people don’t take that as an official statement because he didn’t speak those words, it was a written article- much like your article.
They’re in a happy, commited relationship and no matter how many articles you print looking down on those who believe that, it’s not going to change. How about you print an article including every detail or include some of the screw-ups? Because I thought that’s what tabloids are supposed to do- report on what’s happening? But, oh no, you can’t do that, it would convince too many people they’re together and you’ve got to do the opposite- make us all seem like petty little girls who are “deluded.”
Before you print these articles, think about the consequences. You’re only going to look even more stupid when they eventually come out. Fine, don’t print the screw-ups or the things that make us believe they’re together, but don’t print articles like these either.

It’s easy to get caught up on Harry and Louis montage clips, and believe there is something more. Why not, they’re two really cute guys and they’re very comfortable showing affection towards each other. But if you watch closely it’s clear that it’s just kidding around and they’re isn’t romantic intention. Traditional gender roles expect men to be cold and removed, certainly not affectionate and touchy feely, but screw gender roles. Louis and Harry are part of the evolving culture that moves away from those traditional expectations in favour of what the individual is personally comfortable with and wants. The fact that we are so adamant about believing there’s “something more” is reflective of our own stubborn views of what is “normal” for friendships. And of course there is also personal desire, as a gay male I wish I had such and adorable romance (if it really was a romance, it would be beyond cute…FACT), but just like highschool, that desperate hope sees only what confirms the desire and ignores what discounts it. I’m not terribly sad that they aren’t a couple. It’s awesome enough that they are comfortable enough to be close and affectionate without yelling “No Homo!” right after, or some other standoffish reaffirmation of their masculinity.

First of all, obviously if these interviewers keep on questioning about their “relationship”, they’re no doubtingly going to deny it. I mean, we live in a world where homophobia still exists so even if they were a couple (not saying they are) what other response do you expect people to say. I hate that the rumors are affecting their relationship! They all used to be so close, so happy, so fun to watch and listen too, and now they seem awkward like they are trying so hard not to have fun. It’s not fair to the boys! it breaks my heart that they aren’t as close, and i’m hoping that it’s just in public, that when they are not in the spotlight they are the same friends they used to be.
