Katy and Russell are finally untangled from each other — find out details!
Katy Perry and Russell Brand have officially split. The couple was married for two years and according to E!, finally became divorced on July 16. Due to California law, it took six months for the split to take effect.
The couple married on Oct. 23, 2010, but Russell filed for divorce in December 2011. We told you that Katy was “blindsided” by the divorce and that she did everything she could to save the marriage. In Katy’s 3D movie Part of Me, viewers got a chance to see how her marriage crumbled, and it appeared to be partly due to her busy schedule.
Since the divorce filing, Katy has been linked to Florence + the Machine guitarist Robert Ackroyd and Russell has dated model Nikolett Barabas.
