The NY Knicks point guard was arrested this morning after a car accident in Southhampton.
Jason Kidd, a point guard for the NY Knicks whom recently signed a three year, $9.5 million deal on Thursday with the team, was arrested early this morning on suspicion of drunk driving.
Kidd, 39, crashed his 2010 Cadillac Escalade into a telephone pole around 1:56AM Sunday morning, Sgt. Michael Burns of the Southampton Police Dept revealed to NY Daily News.
He went to Southampton Hospital and then to the Southampton police station where he was processed and then arraigned on a misdemeanor DWI charge. He was released on his own recognizance.
Luckily Jason wasn’t too badly hurt and he was alone in the car. Police on the scene reportedly claim he was “being intoxicated.”
Phew! We’re glad he is okay!
