A young mother beat her defenseless toddler into a coma, says a new report. She plead guilty in court on July 12, admitting to the horrific incident. Find out more of the tragic details.

According to police reports, Elizabeth Escalona, 23, dragged her daughter by the feet, beat her with various objects, and then glued her hands to the wall. When the child’s grandmother arrived at the house, the child was unconscious.

The toddler was rushed to the hospital, where she was briefly put on life support. Police records show that the child, Joselyn, 2, had glue and paint stuck to her palms.

Police say Elizabeth was frustrated with trying to potty train her daughter, so she allegedly hit the girl in the stomach with a milk jug, kicked her, and beat her with a belt, before gluing her hands to the wall.

Other people reported seeing Elizabeth inflict pain on her daughter in the past, according to police reports.

She plead guilty in court to the incident that occurred in September 2011, and could face up to life in prison if convicted.

Joselyn recovered, and her and her three siblings were taken into custody.
