Lindsay certainly hasn’t had an easy ride lately — the latest crisis: a bald patch in the back of her head! We chatted with Celebrity Hairstylist Angelo David of Angelo David Salon to get to the root of the problem!

Lindsay Lohan stepped out in Los Angeles July 12 with something missing: a patch of hair! The star, 26, flashed a significant bald spot.

“Given the location of the hair loss around the crown area, the patch could be a result of thinning hair combined with improper extension applications,” says celebrity hairstylist, Angelo David of Angelo David Salon. “Hair extensions can wreak havoc on your hair but only if you use you the wrong type of application. The reality is not everyone responds properly to just one type of hair extension,” he says.

Customizing the right hair extension depending on the client’s needs is very important to ensure fit and minimize damage, says Angelo.  “I believe hair extensions using mild bonding techniques, like the Angelo David ‘couture fillers’, are much gentler to hair than other types of extension application.”
