For the first time, Rihanna speaks completely frankly about her deep feelings for Chris and how his assault and their split left her devastated.

It’s been over three years since Chris Brown brutally beat up his then girlfriend Rihanna, but it’s only now that she’s really opening up about how that awful incident damaged her emotionally. She spills in the August issue of Harper’s Bazaar.

“When I was in love, I fell so hard. I was really, really, really in love,” she explains, obviously referencing her affair with Chris Brown. “The way it made me feel was priceless. And in a blink of an eye, my whole life changed. Everything that I knew was different. I never thought I’d feel that pain in my life.”

The chart-topping singer, now 24, admits that the heartbreak she experienced has made her ultra-reluctant to get romantically involved again.

“I have been conservative in my love life… well it’s pretty much nonexistent. If I come across someone who I find cool, I’ll hang out. But the minute I find out that we’re getting too close I just don’t let people in,” she confesses.

“That’s not good, something I’m not proud of. But it’s a place that has been tampered with before.”

That’s so sad. Rihanna fears getting close to another man after being so in love with Chris Brown. And multiple sources have also told us at Hollywoodlife.com that she and Chris now have renewed feelings of love for each other but Rihanna is understandably fearful about committing to Chris again. Hmm!
