Aww! Katie and Suri aren’t letting the divorce bring them down. Sources say that the two were having a ball at the playground!
Katie Holmes has demonstrated extreme poise throughout all of her divorce proceedings from Tom Cruise. Neighbors in her posh new Chelsea apartment have reported that Katie and Suri Cruise frequent the building’s playground. How sweet!
Katie, who isn’t always known for being super outgoing, has been socializing and making friends with the other moms in the building, according to her new neighbors.
Everyone is “treating her like a normal person,” a source told the New York Daily News. That must be so refreshing for the now-single mom, who moved into the luxury building after she filed for divorce last month. The source also said that her new playground pals “never bring up Tom.”
In return, the source said Katie is being “super friendly to everyone.”
We congratulate Katie on maintaining a healthy environment for her daughter, who’s getting bigger and prettier every day!

katie and suri will do fine. and new york city is a great place for a fresh start. divorce is always tough on children but the younger they are the better and if both parties keep it civil, the transition and life following will be just fine. i have a friend who recently separated from her partner, a deceptive and dishonest idiot with control issues and abusive behaviour. she put a stop before things snowballed out of control because she wanted to protect her 3 year old boy. she also had representation from one of the firms contracted by the holmes and they are the best and most dedicated bunch of lawyers who will fight for women in particular who are trying to leave nasty and toxic relationships. my friend is doing fine and her kid is thriving. her family and friends have been there for her and helped neutrilized the idiot who has learnt to put his son first and accept the new reality he helped create with his actions.
