Jennifer made an appearance on the ‘Today’ show on July 12, and shocked fans when she announced it was time for her ‘to go’ from ‘American Idol.’ Find out all the details!
Jennifer Lopez has been keeping fans on their toes in regards to whether or not the pop star would return to American Idol as a judge for a third season. But according to an interview on the July 12 episode of Today, Jennifer mentioned, “I think it’s time for me to go.”
During the interview, Jennifer said, “It’s a huge decision, but I have to say there are so many things I do that I put on hold for that. It’s a heartbreaking decision if I have to go.”
Right now, Jennifer is busy touring with Enrique Iglesias and promoting her new movie Ice Age 4: Continental Drift.
When Today host Natalie Morales said, “Sounds like you’re making up your mind,” Jennifer, 42, continued, “Little by little I’m making up my mind. I love everybody, I love the guys, but I am thinking it’s time for me to go and do other things I love to do like films and journeys.”
Jennifer finished saying, “But I’m torn — it’s a tough decision.”

She can only be a judge on American idol for so long before she realizes she was made for better things. I love Jenifer and think that although I loved her on idol, she has a lot more in store for her.
