The reality couple and their adorable toddler Mason Disick have been eagerly awaiting their newest family member’s arrival. Now that little Penelope is here, Kourtney Kardashian and boyfriend Scott Disick can’t wait until their family of four is all under the same roof!
Kourtney and Scott have been ready for their daughter to come for a while now. Already proud parents, the couple knew that adding a little girl to the mix would be even more exciting.
“Kourtney was ready for this baby to come,” a family insider told OK! magazine. “She and Scott dreamed about a daughter for so long.”
The Kardashian-Disick clan will be living in their new four-bedroom, four-and-a-half bath house in a private community in Calabasas, Calif.
Not a fan of girly and cliche nurseries, Kourtney wanted to ensure her daughter’s new nursery will appeal to her overall decorative tastes.
“She was adamant about clean white or off-white palette for the baby’s room,” the insider said. “It’s part of her aesthetic in general. It’s a more understated, elegant girly look. She likes a kind of shabby chic look with accents of blush and pale yellow.”
But the parents aren’t the only ones thrilled about their bundle of joy — Mason loves the idea of being a big brother!
“He’s really excited about having a new playmate and has actually showed an incredibly mature side,” the source said. He even got to help pick out furniture and make decisions about the nursery!
“He’s really shaping up to become a super protective big brother,” the source said.
With Penelope only a few days old, Kourtney and Scott are making sure they cherish the family moments before they slip away.
“I really want to just enjoy this time,” Kourtney told OK! “I know having a daughter will be fun.”
