Now that Katie Holmes can put her marriage to Tom Cruise behind her, she has been contacting Chris Klein. Are they on the verge of getting back together?
Katie Holmes started dating Tom Cruise soon after breaking off her engagement to Chris Klein, and now a new report says she’s running back into the arms of her ex! Star Magazine reports Katie has been contacting Chris again.
“Katie contacted him a few months ago after a while of not speaking,” reveals the insider. “It was very casual, but it was more aggressive than in the past, since she was closer to divorce and didn’t care what Tom thought anymore.”
The source says Chris has no hard feelings for Katie following their split. “Chris has always been so sweet to Katie and supportive. He is eager to meet up in person when Katie is ready. Katie always wonders what would have happened if she and Chris never broke up. She’s so happy they’re in touch. He’s the first person she thinks to call when she is alone and can’t sleep.”
The duo have a lot more in common than Katie and Tom did. ”They’re both Christians with small-town values and great friendships with their family. And in a way, both of them have now exorcised their demons, Katie with Tom and Chris with alcohol.”
