Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes Settled Divorce Battle For Sake Of Suri

Tom Cruise is absolutely furious over his divorce with Katie Holmes, but Suri Cruise is acting as peacemaker. TMZ is reporting that Tom and Katie had a lot of ‘hostility’ over the divorce and Suri, 6, actually became a weapon. So how did everything become amicable?

“What turned everything around was a series of conversations that Suri would be irreparably damaged by parental warfare,” a source says. “It registered big time with both Tom and Katie, and it allowed their lawyers to strike a deal in what could be record time for this type of divorce.”

We told you that Katie filed for divorce on July 28 and on July 9, the couple had reached a divorce settlement. It appears that Katie has sole custody of Suri but Tom has “generous” visitation. A top attorney tells HollywoodLife.com that their divorce will be finalized within two to four months.

I think I agree with the article; Tom loves his daughter so much so instead of fighting he sat down and settled the matter because he knows that he will be doing it for Suri.

Their divorce should set as an example for couple who are divorcing. Instead of fighting in the court non stop, the parties should settle it fastly and quietly because in the end, it is the Kid/s who will be greatly affected.

I think what turned it around was Tom’s realization that he was screwed. Katie had the goods on him, so fighting would be pointless. But he wants to spin it like the quick agreement was all out of concern for Suri, fine Tom, but most people know the truth.
