Exactly one week after filing for divorce from Tom Cruise, Katie took daughter Suri, 6, to the Children’s Museum of the Arts in Manhattan. She must have been relieved knowing that her divorce and custody arrangements were settled.

The sunglasses-clad Katie Holmes battled a sea of paparazzi with Suri in tow to visit the children’s museum on July 5 in New York. Despite the constant media scrutiny surrounding her divorce with Tom Cruise, Katie is trying to continue with life as normally as possible.

Although the 33-year-old actress has remained tight-lipped about her recent divorce settlement, she isn’t letting it get in the way of taking her daughter on regular outings.

The two were spotted at a local Whole Foods on July 4th doing routine grocery shopping, reportedly for hamburger meat, buns, strawberries, and other barbecue supplies. They also grabbed some ice cream at Sundaes and Cones in New York City on July 3, laughing and smiling.
