Even though he was officially nixed from the Olympic roster, sources close to Lamar tell HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that he is loving his new role at the Los Angeles Clippers!
Lamar, 32, is being welcomed to his new team with open arms, a source close to the situation tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
“Lamar has befriended everyone on the team so far, from the main stars like Chris Paul and Blake Griffin to second-tier players like Travis Leslie and Ryan Gomes,” our source says. “Everyone in the executive part of the Clippers organization is excited, because if he comes back to his former self, then they are confident that they can compete for a championship. Lamar has been telling everyone that will listen that he feels so comfortable being back in L.A. Being able to play at the Staples Center and being very familiar with his surroundings is only going to help his future. Blake and Chris are ecstatic, and while they go off to play for the Olympics they want Lamar to be the veteran leadership and really get comfortable with other players on the team. When they come back from London, it will be an easy transition with everyone on the same wavelength to pursue a great upcoming season. Everyone is also confident that the shadow of the Kardashian TV empire will not in any way impact team chemistry. Currently everyone is on the same page and very excited to see what is to come.”
Are YOU still surprised that Lamar won’t be in the 2012 Summer Olympics, HollywoodLifers?
